Our History

North County Youth Soccer Association was formed in Escondido in 1976. It was one of the first youth recreational soccer organizations in San Diego County with over 2,000 children actively playing soccer.

The name NCYSA was changed to the Escondido Soccer Club in 2001, which incorporated the Recreational teams and the newly named FC Heat Elite Competitive program.

In 2004, Escondido Soccer Club - FC Heat started playing games at Frances Ryan Park, a dedicated sports complex where all games are played. No child or player has ever been turned away for lack of finances. This financial support is extended to both our Recreational League and our Competitive Division.

We currently have over 1,300 recreational players. Now, the Escondido Soccer Club - SDSC Escondido Surf is a community-based non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation supported by the city of Escondido and local businesses. Our Club is financially solvent which has enabled us to support other community groups such as the Escondido Middle School soccer league and the Boys and Girls clubs.
